Hey everyone! 🙋‍♂️ I am Aagamjit Singh medical student from AIIMS, Delhi, India. I took my USMLE STEP 1 ✍ on 19th November 2020. Got my score report on 9th December and scored more than my expectations of 268 🎉.

Resources 📚 I used (apart from the obvious FA and Uworld):

  • Biochemistry: Metabolism from Kaplan
  • Pathology: pathoma
  • Microbiology: sketchy
  • Anatomy: no separate review book. Don’t waste time on anatomy they ask only very basic in step 1
  • Physiology: BRS
  • Pharmacology: Kaplan
  • NBME: 16, 17, 19, 21, 23, Free 120 4 days before the exam

I was a bit apprehensive about the new pattern of the exam with more questions on communication skills. But honestly, having done Uworld and NBMEs thoroughly ✌ I didn’t feel like I faced a new type of question in the exam.

The exam is very conceptual 💡 and straightforward ➡. Just be confident having done FA and Uworld and give at least 2 new NBMEs. In fact, I found the new NBMEs to be slightly more difficult than the actual exam.

Uworld is an amazing resource 👍, I don’t need to tell anyone that. I did all of the questions on random and timed in the first pass, In the second pass I only did marked and incorrect questions .

If anyone wants to ask anything else regarding the exam, I would be happy to help 😃.
