USMLE STEP 1 Tips 💡

(1) Preparation Tips 🗒

Start using Uworld asps.
Use each Uworld block as if you are giving a real exam pay attention as if it’s a real exam block.
Every time you get any questions wrong just don’t look for the explanation but look in to question about what information you missed that led to the wrong answer I don’t say look for every wrong option explanation thoroughly but look in to question and see what you missed in question.
Remember your mistakes and try not to repeat them .
Have something apart from studies as it’s a long journey . I am an avid reader I read daily for 20 minutes that was my escape.
Take breaks from studying and enjoy yourself. Don’t get burned out.

(2) I wish someone told me this before appearing for step 1 🌠

Don’t keep anything for the last day Not even volatile topics Revise everything before the last day Keep last just to relax And believe in yourself I was so anxious on the day before step 1 I had so much of topics to revise But wasn’t able to do it 😕.
Don’t save NBME for later Start Using them once you are done with Uworld and FA asps.

(3) Exam day tips 📝

I had dark chocolate 🍫 and nuts 🥜 and water 🥤 after each block which help me a lot. Don’t eat too much carb 🍔 or heavy lunch 🍕.
Stay hydrated.
Remember to use all break time ⏳.
Took a slightly longer break of 15-20 minutes when I reached halfway 🕧.
Something which helped a lot in the last few block was washing my face 🚿. Take face wash to the center. I washed my face before 5th block and felt really fresh after that.
Don’t panic if you don’t know any answer. Try it to solve to your best. Don’t forget there’s a huge number of experimental questions. It could be one of them too so don’t panic 🙅‍♀️.
Don’t remember the mistake of your previous block. Let it go. You won’t be able to change it but it can surely affect next blocks.
